ARTISTIC CERAMICS

Studies description

Artistic Ceramic Studies focus on the practical and theoretical knowledge of the different types of clay (red, pisa, stoneware, porcelain and fireproof) as well as the raw materials to make enamel. The theoretical side of these studies focuses in the history (both ancient and contemporary), materials, technology and projects.

The materials of the workshop focus on the learning of drawing procedures and work creation (handmade, wheel-made and moulds). It also pays special attention to the different finishing decoration techniques.

We aim at giving students the aesthetic and plastic resources to create their work (both artistic and commercial). These are going to help them find their place in the present day market.
