Studies description
The aim of interior design is to plan and develop spaces for people to use for all kinds of activities: residential, commercial, leisure, exhibitions, educational etc.
The Planning and Interior Design Management course offers students a general overview of Interior Design studies, as well as the professional areas directly related to it. The course provides them with specific and focused training in the techniques and skills that are required to deal with the creation, planning and managing of an interior design project.
The Interior Design department is made up of professional designers and architects. The fact that these teachers are also professionals in their field guarantees a strong connection between the course and the real world of interior design.

Length of the program of study
Technical Degrees last for two academic years, apart from the time required for the fulfilment of a final project. The certificate that students obtain at the end of these studies allows them direct access to University.

Final Degree Project
The Degree ends up with the creation of a final project as a way to validate the abilities and knowledge acquired during the learning period.
Vocational training
Vocational Training is also a necessary requirement to obtain the certificate (60h). The process of vocational training, studios or workshops may consist of:
- Vocational practice in both private and public companies.
- Fulfilment of academically addressed work which can be integrated in the curriculum of the cycle. This may be carried out at the school.
- Fulfilment of activities carried out inside exchange programmes, both national and international.
The tutoring of training students in companies will be supervised by the tutor of the Technical Degree through direct contact with company managers and the students themselves. Training in companies enables the student to become familiar with the labour sphere (insertion objective) at the same time that it helps them to complete their learning of their favourite vocational field (qualification objective).
Career possibilities
At the end of the Degree the Interior designer is highly qualified to legally carry out his work as an independent professional. He/She may also work in professional Architecture and Design studios, specific furniture businesses, Stage design, ephemeral stall design, Image and corporative identity companies as well as a wide range of companies related to the field of interior design.
